Ocean Floor

People say love is in the air,
Well then loneliness must reside in the ocean,
And I am a lost fish,
Always swimming towards the surface,
but then realizing I can’t breathe air,
Only distasteful salt water.
So further and further I swim,
Occasionally coming across hooks,
And being thrown back in.
With every hook comes more pain and scars,
So now I'm so deep in the ocean,
That I live on the ocean floor,
Where no hook could ever come.
But no matter how far I get from the surface,
I still dream of being a bird.

Earth's Silent Melody

Listen,
Do you hear it?
It’s the silent melody of the earth.
Its the cries of the wind that run across your face,
Touching every inch of your body with its cold finger tips,
Beckoning you to give in.
Surrounding you in a cold embrace,
Just waiting for you.

The earth calls you through the trees,
It wants you to sink into its core,
To close your eyes and breathe,
To just let go and let the wind sweep you away.
Let the rain wash away your inner thoughts.
Let the cold numb you from the darkness of your pain.
Let the snow purify your tainted soul.
Let the heat warm you dancing spirit.
Let the rustling of the leaves take you to a far away place.
Let the earth’s silent melody fill your body,
and just let go.

You and I

I wish you would hold me,
Let me inside your Universe,
Take me to your heart.
Embrace me in your arms.
Dreaming of your gentle touch.
Listening to your sweet voice,
Like a whispering song from the sea,
For only my soul to receive.
Every moment with you takes away the ache,
Your warm hugs make me shake.
Our love is like an ocean,
One than goes on for all eternity.

Dreaming with Eyes Wide Open

Dreaming with my eyes open,
but my ears closed.
My mind beyond the ominous crystal skies that glow with fragments of energy,
Which light the opaque pathway to my eternal escape.

A spacious field of golden wheat,
That sways with gentle push of the summer breeze.
The sparkling clear spring,
That flows into the forceful currents of the waterfall,
That pours into the serine river where I lay on the bank.
The beautiful, tall, strong trees that give shade to my body,
Overheated from the stinging rays of the powerful sun that looms so high above.
There I lay,
Running my fingers through the cool water of the river that tells a story,
A story of love and woe.
And I listen to the whispering voice of the river,
With my pure unloved heart,
And I let my spirit flow away with the current,
And remain blind to all that lay before me.

Silent Tears of Truth

Tears as warm as the rays from the sun,
Flow down her youthful cheeks like the Nile.
Her body as cold as a cadaver.
Her soul and spirit fleeting from her slowly every second.
Every minute that goes by she becomes more empty,
Every hour more fearful,
Everyday more lonely.
Like the only needle in a haystack,
or the last leaf left on the tree after all the rest have parted,
just before the harsh cold wind of the winter.

She is not fully present when she walks,
Starring at the ground,
Because it’s the only world she knows.
She has mastered that perfect fake smile,
That radiates so brightly no one would second guess.
But she can't make eye contact,
for people would believe her less.

At the end of the day,
When the sun goes to rest on the horizon,
and the moon and stars dance upon the sky,
She cries silent tears of truth.
